A Foundation Rich in Philanthropic History
The Neag Foundation celebrates the life and legacy of Raymond and Carole Neag. Ray Neag, a philanthropist who worked in the medical device industry, passed in 2018, and Carole his wife, who died in 2023. Their families and Foundation continue with their vision to make a positive difference in the world in education, health care, and the arts and humanities

From their first record-breaking gift to the Neag School of Education to their generous support for life-saving care at the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Calhoun Cardiology Center, Ray and Carole led the Neag Foundation to make a difference. They believed in the importance of their gifts in education, healthcare, and the arts and humanities, and hope that others would follow their lead. In Pennsylvania, their donations made a tremendous impact, including the creation of the Carole and Ray Neag Medical Center on the campus of Caron Treatment Centers. They have also donated funds to support the Meals on Wheels program for the Berks Encore program. In her lates years, Carole was focus on food insecurity and fighting hunger in both Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
Carole and Ray’s legacy is the creation of the Neag Foundation, based on their belief that philanthropy can and should make a positive difference in the world, and their belief in the importance of giving back.
