A Foundation Rich in Philanthropic History
The Neag Foundation celebrates the life and legacy of Raymond and Carole Neag. Ray Neag, a philanthropist who worked in the medical device industry, passed in 2018 and Carole continues to carry on their work and impact.
From their first record-breaking gift to the Neag School of Education to their generous support for life-saving care at the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Calhoun Cardiology Center, Ray and Carole built the momentum to create the Neag Foundation. Ray and Carole have advocated on behalf of education, healthcare, and the arts. They always hoped that others would follow their lead. For example, Ray and Carole transformed the Neag School of Education and the Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and made significant contributions to many other programs. In Pennsylvania, they made many donations, creating the Carole and Ray Neag Medical Center on the campus of Caron Treatment Centers. They also donated funds to support the Meals on Wheels program for the Berks Encore program.
Carole and Ray’s legacy is the creation of the Neag Foundation, based on the belief that philanthropy can and should make a positive difference in the world, and the mission of giving back.
